Hostel Ondas

Ondas is a big beautiful space full of high ceilings, natural timbers and luscious plant life. The smells of fresh ground coffee and handmade pies waft from our cafe and through the comfy dorm rooms and multiple common areas.

A giant balcony with seating and hammocks overlooks the Colombian street scene and a spacious, well equipped kitchen offers the perfect setting for group cook-ups. Enjoy a tap-beer or cocktail while taking in the surrounding mountains from our covered roof terrace, bar and sundeck area.

Comfortable living spaces and eclectic design meet you around every corner as Hostel Ondas provides you with a warm and homely space for you to enjoy as you explore and discover Medellin.

Ondas is located in La Floresta neighborhood, one of the best locations for ease of access to the entire city. We are located just a few minutes walk from the metro system, with its amazing integrated metro cable, you can easily reach many popular attractions and landmarks. Located very close to La 80 (1 of 2 major north to south roads) and Parque Floresta, there are numerous nearby food options and stores for your convenience. We are also within walking distance or a quick taxi to neighborhoods like Laurelles, popular for its variety of restaurants, cafes and livability or Estadio and La 70, full of sports and salsa.

The Hostel is the 2nd and 3rd levels above our onsite, European standard cafe, offering organic coffee, breakfasts, cakes and full meal options. The is also a 7-day mini-market right next door.

Ondas receives a lot of business from local Colombians, so there is always a great opportunity to interact with real locals and make new friends. We also host weekly language exchanges and monthly meetups, open to all hostel guests
