Comfortable, spacious, quiet and intimate cabins available in the heart of the Amazon rainforest. Your best ' base camp 'to explore the rainforest in depth without losing the comfort and communications (public buses stops at the main gate of Omshanty each 25min).

In Omshanty find a place to relax and enjoy nature at its best. Nestled jungle Uitotos our indigenous neighbors, with the ones we work directly (80% of our staff is indigenous) and the forest itself will make you get more interested and want to further explore this natural paradise.

In Omshanty we offer four types of accommodation.
1.- The first, favorite and most requested by visitors are independent our comfortable cabins. They have 1 double bed and 2 simple beds with option of 1 more simple extra bed. Each cabin have a livingroom, kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, porche with hammock and bbq. Equipped with electricity, potable (drinking) water, bedding sets and bath, table, chairs, kitchen stuff and mosquito net are undoubtedly the most complete option on the outskirts of Leticia. All of them are independent, private, quiet, surrounded by gardens and located in a 20. 000m2 farm and in aa natural environment that will fascinate you.
2.- The second option is a shared cabin that has the same facilities than the other but this one have 6 simple beds and "it works" as a "traditional dormitory" on common hostels.
3.- The third option, for low-budget travellers is lodging at our "Hammock area", where you can found a place (simple structure covered with roof) were you can sleep in hammocks. Whe provide the hammocks but if you bring it you can get up to 50% dto.
4.-In our facilities there are designated areas for camping with tent.

At 11km from Leticia city and 9 from the airport (20 min. public transportation)...
In front of the Uitoto indigenous community usually know as "Comunidad del km11" (km 11th indigenous community), which true name is "Patio de ciencia dulce" ('sweet science courtyard').
30m far from the "Vía Tacana" road.
250m far from the serpentarium and Tanimboca Natural Reserve.

As all lodgings in Colombia we must keep the general laws of the country and the specific ones for any kind of lodging. We cooperate specially with the law against child prostitution (which is absolutely forviden at Omshanty).
We reserve the right to admision, specially on those people who are drunk or under any kind of drug effect.
It is not allowed to use any kind of unlegal drug.
We ask for a quiet, peacefull, polite and respectful behavior with the other people lodged and with the neighborhood.

At Omshanty you can found two services, mainly, lodging in cabins and jungle “tailor-made” trips (or standar ones), among other specialiced expeditions & professional stuff as documentary and more!!
The lodging in our farm is in cabins. Each cabin have bedroom, living room, bathroom, kitchen, bbq and a porche with hammock "for the nap", potable water and energy 24h (110V).

Our 'rooms' are not "real rooms". What we offer are private and independent cabins composed of bedroom with double bed, living room (2 single beds), bathroom, kitchen, porch with hammock, bbq & potable water. All this set on a 2ha farm of living nature.

As in our private lodging this kind of a cabin with 6 simple beds and full equiped: bathroom, kitchen with gas cooker, furniture, dinner set and pots, porche, hammock... and potable water. This cabin is in the same wild nature farm than the others

We also have enabled a small area where you can sleep in hammock (bringing the hammocks, visitors will decrease the rate in a 50%). In this area you also found a bbq and table. Bathrooms/showers must be shared with those people lodged at the camping area.

We have adapted an area for traditional camping with tent, as the hammock area this space is supplied with bbq and table. Bathrooms must be shared with the people lodged at the hammock area

All our accomodations are inside the 2ha jungle land were we are located. A peaceful piece of jungle perfect located and communicated by public transportation from the main city of Leticia (each 22min there is a bus).
We offer serveral types of lodging. Our best are the cabins. Each cabin has a sleeping room, living room (with fan), bathroom (with potable water), kitchen full equiped, porche with hammock and bbq.
Each cabin has a double bed and two simple ones. Except the shared cabin that have 6 simple beds.
We also offer hammock and camping accomodation in special places adapted for that pourpose. In those places there are bbq for cooking and a table with bench to seat. Those areas share a bathroom & shower.
Our offer covers all the lodging options available in the region at one place.
We also accept and have place for small groups (20-30 people).

Vía Leticia-Tarapacá km11 - Omshanty -
Just in front of the Uitoto indigenous community "Patio de ciencia dulce".
You can arrive, from Leticia, by public bus, "motocarro" or taxi.
You can arrive to Leticia by plane (from Bogotá) or by ship/speedboat from Iquitos (Perú) and Manaus (Brazil)

To arrive to you have two options:

- By taxi: there are two "taxi-stations" in Leticia. One in the "Orellana park" -in the corner of the fruit market, in front of the "tio Tom" bar-, and another in the corner known as "the corner of the drugstores" (la esquina de las farmacias o la esquina de Drogas la Rebaja) and in front of the "Drogueria GLORIA" you´ll founf it.

- By public bus. there are public buses (known as COLECTIVOS) that departs from the ORELLANA PARK in Leticia, to KM11 each 25min between 6am until 6pm (is the chaeapest option). Say to the busdriver you stop at the km11, in front of the bakery, were is the place of KIKE the spanish guy with piercings (as people know me here) –“VOY AL KM11 DONDE KIKE, EL ESPAÑOL DE LOS ARETES”-.
If you arrive from the airport and you want to go by bus you can walk the main avenue (follow the UNIQUE avenue you see from the airport) 2km and reach the Orellana park or pick a taxi to that park and then the public bus.

You can arrive to Leticia by plane (from Bogotá) or by ship/speedboat from Iquitos (Perú) and Manaus (Brazil)
